Rambleforce Community Meetup: Voluntary Participation Guidelines:

Please read the following information carefully. By choosing to join the Rambleforce community meetup, you acknowledge that this is not a professionally organised or managed event, but a voluntary gathering of independent individuals.

1. Nature of the Meetup

Rambleforce is a community-led initiative. This meetup is a voluntary gathering where individuals meet independently. There is no central organiser, event manager, or designated "leader" responsible for the group. Everyone attending does so as an independent participant.

2. Personal Responsibility & Assumption of Risk

I understand that hiking and outdoor activities involve inherent risks—such as uneven terrain, unpredictable weather, and wildlife encounters. By choosing to attend:

  • I accept full responsibility for my own safety and well-being.

  • I acknowledge that I am responsible for my own navigation, pace, and decision-making.

  • I voluntarily assume all risks associated with the activity.

3. No Liability

Since there are no formal organisers, sponsors, or staff, I agree that I cannot hold any fellow participant, community member, or individual who suggested a meeting point liable for any loss, injury, or damage to my person or property. This is a peer-to-peer gathering; there is no entity to sue or hold accountable for the inherent risks of being outdoors.

4. Self-Sufficiency & Safety

I acknowledge that it is my sole responsibility to:

  • Assess my own physical fitness and medical readiness.

  • Bring appropriate gear, water, food, and first-aid supplies.

  • Research the route and trail conditions beforehand.

  • Make my own decisions regarding trail safety and when to turn back.

5. Respect & Conduct

While we meet as independent individuals, I agree to treat fellow community members with respect and follow "Leave No Trace" principles to protect the environment.

6. Media & Likeness

Participants often take photos or videos during these community walks. By joining the group, I understand that my likeness may appear in social media posts shared by other independent participants.

By joining the Rambleforce meetup, I confirm that I am participating of my own at-will volition, that I have read this disclaimer, and that I recognize my own independence and responsibility throughout the duration of the walk.
